Awards and Achievements

 

 Amongst the many awards received by the school we consider the most important to be:

  • 2016 our school was invited to participate in the Canterbury Festival and Sandwich Festival.  The children worked with 2 artists in preparation for both festivals and paraded their artwork on the day.

  • 2015 our school was invited to participate in the Canterbury Festival and Sandwich Festival.  The children worked with 2 artists in preparation for both festivals and paraded their artwork on the day.

  • 2014 our school was invited to participate in the Canterbury Festival and Sandwich Festival. The children worked with 2 artists in preparation for both festivals and paraded their artwork on the day.

  • 2013 our school was invited to participate in the Canterbury Festival and Sandwich Festival. The children worked with 2 artists in preparation for both festivals and paraded their artwork on the day.

  • 2012 saw our active Green Gang win 2 competitions. The first was for Canterbury in Bloom where they designed a ‘Jubilee flower bed’ which was made by our children and displayed in Canterbury high street, the school will be lucky enough to keep the flower bed afterwards. The second was an art competition for Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Trust where 2 of our children were awarded second and third place. 

  • 2011/2012 our school was invited to participate in the Canterbury Festival and Sandwich Festival. The schools name was put forward by one of the sponsors for Canterbury festival without the schools knowledge, it was a great privilege knowing that the school is held in such high regard. The children worked with 2 artists in preparation for both festivals and paraded their artwork on the day. A great time was had by all! 

  • 2011/12 Quality in Extended Services:In partnership with the Sandwich Consortium.

  • 2010: Quality Mark 4 – From the Basic Skills Agency to acknowledge our standards in Literacy and Numeracy for all pupils.

  • 2010: Healthy School Award, For promoting a healthy lifestyle which leads to happier, healthy children who do better in learning and in life 

  • 2010: Activemark For providing at least 2 hours high quality PE and school sport a week.
