Year 1 Phonics Test

At the end of Year 1 pupils take a phonic test to assess if they have achieved an expected level of phonic understanding. The expected standard is to score 32 or greater out of 40.

In 2018/19 100% of pupils reached the expected standard.

Key Stage 1 Teacher Assessments

At the end of Key Stage 1 pupils are teacher assessed against National curriculum criteria.

In 2018/19 33% met the expected standard or above in reading and 17% were working at greater depth; 67% met the expected standard in writing and none were working at greater depth; 50% met the expected standard or above in mathematics and 50% were working at greater depth.

Key Stage 2 SATs

At the end of Key Stage 2 pupils are tested and teacher assessed against National Curriculum criteria. This year our writing teacher assessments were externally moderated.

There were 8 pupils in Year 6 in 2018/19, some with additional educational needs.

In 2018/19 63% met the expected standard in reading, of which 13% were working at greater depth.  In writing 63% met the expected standard, of which 13% were working at greater depth; 63% met the expected standard in mathematics, of which 13% were working at greater depth. In grammar. punctuation and spelling 50% met the expected standard, of which 13% were working at greater depth. 

63% met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths and none were working at greater depth in all three subjects.

The average scaled scores were in 100 reading and  99 mathematics.

The school’s progress scores were -2.0 in reading, -.0.2 in writing and -3.6 in mathematics.
